We have an exciting opportunity to join our Worcester site as a Despatch Controller within the Logistics team. This is an on-site role, working 36.25 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

• Facilitate the shipping of products
• Daily and weekly planning
• Day-to-day and future planning of logistics operations
• Promptly arrange transportation, schedule staff and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demand
• Receive products and co-ordinate delivery
• Prepare loads for shipment
• Take steps to avoid quality control issues
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure orders are on track for on-time delivery
• Create necessary documents to meet customer and HMRC regulations
• Ensure all documents are maintained and updated in line with ISO and BRC requirements
• Review freight costs and transportation rates to keep costs down where possible
• Ensure both yards are maintained
• Support the department as required
• Other ad hoc duties as required
• Ensure adherence to EHS procedures

• Previous experience as a despatch controller would be advantageous but not essential
• Must be a good communicator with the ability to work on their own initiative
• Must be a team player with the ability to prioritise and make decisions
• Great organisational and planning skills with attention to detail
