The bpi division has manufacturing sites across the UK, Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland and Romania.

 

Berry Bpi Heanor is a recycling and manufacturing site which manufactures refuse sacks for Retail and Healthcare and Damp Proof Course for the Construction Industry

 

The business is currently recruiting for a Multi-skilled Shift Engineer working 12 hours shifts of 2 days / 2 nights and 4 days off

Responsibilities

  • Working safely and provide a safe environment to work in
  • Work to Health and Safety guidance, best pracrice and to engineering excellence standards
  • Maintain high quality standards of workmanship
  • Be part of a 24/7 multi-disciplinaed engineering support team to cover production and site infrastructure
  • Provide a "customer" experience to the operations department
  • Provide breakdown repair support to high speed production lines covering electrical, mechanical, fluidpower and PLC faults
  • Improve engineering related KPI's such as PPM adherance, OEE, MTBF, MTTR, budget adherence, energy usage via continuous improvement / proactive approaches
  • Interact with site CMMS including the booking of spares
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork and systems are maintained and controlledIdentify and assist improvement projects as required
  • Assist and liaising with contractors or suppliers as required
  • Assisting with PPM's as required
  • Share skills and experience with peers via records and effecrive handovers

Qualifications

5Years experience, apprentice trained multi skilled enginner with experience of high speed production lines covering:

 

PLC / Servo drives                                     Hydraulics / Pneumatics

Heat control systems                                 Weight control systems

Analogue control systems                           Inverter Drives

Safety Systems

 

 

Hold a relevant qualification in Mechanical and / or Electrical Engineering

Educated to minimum GCSE level C

Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation

Computer Literate

Able to understand engineering drawings

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Self Motivated with a flexible can do attitude

Team player who is able to work in a fast paced, demanding environment

Friendly, approachable and has an ability to work under pressure
