Qualifications
- Must have High School Diploma or GED.
- 12 months experience in industrial maintenance or meet highest-level Production Assistant requirements.
- Must be able to identify basic mechanic tools.
- Must provide their own tools.
- Work well in team environment. Responsible for working with the team to maximize production requirements.
- Operate machines, monitor work orders, and help break out area.
- Actively participates in troubleshooting of any equipment in area.
- Able to read and work from technical manuals.
- Able to use math as applied to maintenance.
- Able to follow verbal directives and perform routine and predictive maintenance.
- Able to communicate with packaging Techs and Supervisors.
- Ability to help coordinate routine operations of packaging lines.
- Abe to retain and apply learned knowledge.
- Able to pass forklift training.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Able to aid in training of new employees.
- Must be ability to perform the following task for 12 hour shift: stand and walk 90% of time, lift 50 pounds minimum, climb ladders, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, and bend to work on machines.
- Able to hear on the production floor and detect changes in sound from the machines.
- Able to identify color changes and track moving objects.
- Able to perform changeovers and setup of machines in assigned area.
- Basic understanding of mechanics in order to make process changes, perform minor machine repairs.
- Serves as an example for housekeeping and safety standards.
- Able to verify quality of finished product (measure/visual) and properly correct issues.
- Able to identify and operate all LOTO points on all equipment in assigned area.
- Can power on and startup all equipment in department without assistants. Can also properly shutdown all equipment in department without assistants.
- Proven record for troubleshoot mechanical components.
- Basic hydraulic and pneumatic component troubleshooting skills. Experience includes motor and pump replacement, seal repairs, valve cleaning and cylinder rebuilds.
- Basic electrical understanding. Capable of troubleshooting non-energized electrical components using LOTO in conjunction with meter. Arch Flash Training required.
- Positive attitude working with quality assurance team to achieve GMPs and quality production standards.
- Schedule oriented, pays attention to orders changes in assigned area to minimize scrap and maximize production.
- Able to work safely to meet deadlines while work alone without supervision
